China's EV Charging Facilities Exceed 20 Million
Data released by China's National Energy Administration shows that the total number of electric vehicle charging facilities reached 20.698 million by the end of January, up 49.6% year-on-year.
Among them, public charging points totaled 4.801 million, an increase of 31.2%, while private charging points reached 15.897 million, up 56.1%.

In September 2025, six government departments, including the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, issued a three-year action plan (2025–2027) to expand charging infrastructure.
The plan aims to build 28 million charging facilities nationwide by the end of 2027, providing over 300 GW of public charging capacity to support charging demand for more than 80 million electric vehicles.
Data also shows that China's charging facilities surpassed 20 million units by the end of 2025, reaching 20.092 million.
